The 500 year old Tree
The 500 year old tree in Devadurga town of Raichur district is home to a rare botanical form of baobab tree. Situated on the grounds of Government College, 58 km from Raichur town, this tree is about 500 years old, A large, barrel-shaped trunk tree known as the only Baobab Tree (Adonsonia digitata) of South India is found in Devadurga, Raichur. This tree is 45 feet wide and 40 feet high. According to Encyclopedia Britannica, this tree is one of the oldest trees on the planet and is most commonly found in South Africa.
Gundalabanda Falls
Bidar-Srirangapatna National Highway 150 (A) Gullipalli Bridge near Gurugunta, from 85 to 95 feet above the gigantic rock cliffs, draws many tourists. The effect of water falling on rocky hills is known as the Gundalabundi Waterfall. Then it flows to the different sides of the hill and joins the huge lagoon in front of it. The view from Gollapalli village looks elegant and many who walk along the national highway find a waterfall and hunt for a beautiful waterfall.
Mudagal Fort
Mudgal, situated in Lingasgur Taluk, 10 miles south-west of Lingasugur, is one of the most important places of historical interest in the district, the next being of importance only to Raichur. Mudgal or Mudugal has a history dating back to the Yadava dynasty and many inscriptions found in and around the town. At the beginning of the 14th century, it was an important outpost of the Kakatiya Empire. Malik Naib also conquered the Raichur and Mudgal fortresses after the conquest of the Bahmani dynasty and the Bijapur princes after the annexation of the western and southern parts of the Bahmani Empire. The main object of interest in Mudgal is the fort. In the construction of the castle at Mudgal, the advantage of a hillock was taken on the top of which the walls were built with royal houses and tribes. The outer fortress of Mudgal covers an area of half a square mile.
Ashoka Inscription
The history of the Stone Age dates back to the Stone Age, when the antiquities of the Lingasuguru taluk were seen. The Ashoka Shila inscription found here that “Muski” was a part of Ashoka’s rule in this taluk, and the tourism department is working on developing infrastructure to make this place a major tourist destination in the districts.
Jaladurga Fort
The fort which is nearing completion, is expected to be developed and attract tourists. Jaladurga Fort is located on the banks of the Krishna River, is an attraction for nature lovers. The fort is said to have been built by the Devagiri Yadavas in the 12th century. The architecture of the Adilshahi is a 400-foot-tall fortress is built. Previously, it was said that criminals were sentenced to the Krishna River from the fort. The fort of Jaladurga is a fortification as the river Krishna flows around it. It is located at a distance of 18 km from the Bidar-Hospet National Highway. Travelers have to travel in their own vehicles to see the beauty. The fort is high and it is very beautiful to see the confluence of the two rivers below.
Amba Math
One of the oldest temples in the Somalapura village of Sindhanur Taluk in Raichur district, about 108 km away from Raichur, tourists come from other states of Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh to get a glimpse of Sri Devi. There are idols of Ishwar and Nandi beside the Devi idol at Ambamatha. It is believed that Lord Shiva told the Nandi Devi myths. The Nada habba Dasara festival is celebrated for 10 days with new rituals and legends, and has been flowing over 350 years.
Kalluru Sri Mahalaxmi Devi Temple
Situated at a distance of about 20 km from Raichur, tourists come from other states of Maharashtra and Gujarat to seek Sri Dakshina Mahalakshmi Darshan. There are many ancient temples in the village of Kallur.
Hatti Goldmines
Hatti Gold mine is 80 km west of the district headquarters Raichur and 20 km from the taluk center Lingasugur. According to historians, the gold was exported from the Indus Valley.
Naradagadde
Located approximately 35.km from Raichur, Raichur is an island village near Kuruvukala village in Raichur Taluk. Legend has it that Lord Narada performed penance in Naradagadhi. The island is surrounded by the river Krishna which flows on one side of Karnataka and the other on Telangana. One has to take the road from Raichur to reach the temple from Karnataka. Kurwakal should go as a village route.
Maliyabad Fort
Located 5 km from Raichur city of Maliyabad in Raichur taluk is one of the most important places of historical interest in the district, where large size pair of elephants can be seen.
Panchamukhi Ganadhal
Located at a distance of 40.km from Raichur, the surrounding taluk of Raichur district is visited by people of all taluk and other states. Raichur Fort

Sri Dattatreya Temple Kurvapura
