About the Department
The Department Of Industrial Training And Employment under its training wing is focusing mainly on Craftsmen Training Scheme, which is implemented through a network of Govt. and recognized private Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) in the State in accordance with the standards and norms prescribed by DGT, New Delhi.
An ITI is an institute where vocational training is imparted to the youth after SSLC/10th standard in various trades. The training is mainly practical oriented (60% practical and 40% theory.) There are 06 Govt. ITI’s functioning in the Raichur district.
